The checker looks beyond the .zip filename. It reads ZIP metadata and, when practical, runs deeper browser-side checks before showing a plain-language result.

ARADURU focuses on ZIP structure, available integrity signals, contents, expansion, and path clues. Password-protected archives, split archives, uncommon compression methods, or extraction-app behavior can still affect what happens outside this checker.

The current checker analyzes the selected archive locally in the browser and does not upload the ZIP to the ARADURU server. The current beta may load JavaScript libraries from a third-party CDN, but the selected archive is not sent to those library servers by this checker.
Common ZIP file-check questions
Can ARADURU repair a damaged ZIP file?
No. This page diagnoses supported structural and integrity problems and suggests next steps. It does not rewrite or repair the selected archive.
Does a healthy result mean the files inside are safe?
No. A clean structural result does not guarantee that extracted files are malware-free, trustworthy, or usable. Use appropriate security tools for untrusted content.
Can it check a password-protected ZIP?
Only partially. ARADURU can detect some encryption metadata, but the current browser-side engine does not verify the encrypted file contents.
Why does ARADURU warn about a high expansion ratio?
A ZIP that expands far beyond its compressed size can use much more disk space or memory than expected. This is a caution signal, not proof that the archive is malicious.
Can I check a ZIP that has the wrong extension?
Yes, for supported content-based routing. If the file still contains a recognizable ZIP structure, ARADURU can inspect it even when its filename ends with another extension.
