This checker is designed for common file-side problems: a workbook that may be incomplete, a file whose extension does not match its real format, or an XLSX package with missing or unreadable parts.
What ARADURU checks inside your XLSX file
The result is not based on the filename alone. ARADURU opens the ZIP-based Office package and checks important structural parts before showing a plain-language diagnosis.
Can the file package be opened?
Checks package readability — whether the XLSX file can be opened as its underlying ZIP-based Office package.
Is the file data damaged?
Checks archive integrity with CRC32 on practical file sizes to catch damaged package data.
Are required Excel parts present?
Checks the Office content-type definition and verifies that this required XML can be read.
Are internal file links present?
Checks the package relationship file that connects important Office Open XML parts.
Does the extension match the real file type?
Compares the filename extension with the internal Office structure to catch supported mismatches.
Are the workbook and sheets present?

The diagnosis comes first, technical details second
You should not need to understand ZIP records or XML packages to use the checker. ARADURU shows the practical meaning first and keeps the detailed checks in a collapsible section.

The key XLSX package parts were found and parsed. This does not guarantee that every Excel feature will work.

For example, the extension may be wrong even though the internal Office package is readable.
An important structural check failed
Keep the original copy, avoid overwriting it, and try to obtain a fresh copy from the source when possible.
A healthy structure does not rule out every Excel problem
ARADURU focuses on the file package and important XML structure. A workbook can still fail because of application-specific features, unsupported content, formulas, links, macros, rendering behavior, or other issues outside this structural check.
- Keep the original. Test changes on a copy.
- Try the correct Excel application. A structurally healthy file can still have compatibility issues.
- Get a fresh copy. If the file came from email, cloud storage, or a download, compare with the source again.
- Do not rename to convert. Changing .docx, .zip, or .txt to .xlsx does not convert the content.
Your selected workbook stays in your browser
The current checker analyzes the selected file locally in the browser and does not upload the workbook to the ARADURU server. The current beta may load JavaScript libraries from a third-party CDN, but the selected workbook is not sent to those library servers by this checker.
Common XLSX file-check questions
Can ARADURU repair a damaged XLSX file?
No. This page diagnoses supported structural problems and suggests next steps. It does not rewrite or repair the selected workbook.
Can it detect a wrong XLSX extension?
Yes, for supported Office Open XML structures. If a file is named like one Office format but internally matches XLSX, DOCX, or PPTX, the checker can report the mismatch.
Why can a file look healthy here but still fail in Excel?
This check focuses on package structure and important XML parts. It does not validate every formula, external link, macro, embedded object, Excel feature, or application-specific behavior.
Does the checker upload my Excel file?
No. In the current version, the selected file is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to the ARADURU server.
Can I check a file that has the wrong extension?
Yes. If you suspect a file should really be an XLSX workbook, you can select it even when its filename ends with another extension. ARADURU will try supported content-based checks where possible.
